OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City police are trying to find out who broke into Oklahoma City Hall late Tuesday night.
Firefighters originally responded to the call because a fire alarm went off. When they showed up, they discovered the glass had been broken out of a door. They called police.
Police went into city hall and discovered desks had been searched and papers thrown all over offices. However, they are not sure at this point if anything was stolen.
Police say the break-in originally went out as a fire call because the person who broke into city hall burned some microwave popcorn and set off the smoke alarm. Officers say if not for that, no one would have known about the break-in until employees arrived Wednesday morning.
Police do not have any suspects.
