WEATHERFORD, Oklahoma -- A Weatherford man is behind bars and faces charges of possession of child pornography.
Members of the OSBI Internet Crimes Against Children Unit and Southwestern Oklahoma State University Police Department arrested 25-year-old Craig Kastl Tuesday on an arrest warrant issued out of Custer County.
The warrant was issued for Kastl's arrest for two counts of possession of child pornography.
Kastl was arrested at his home in Weatherford at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday. The investigation into Kastl started following an undercover investigation on the distribution of child pornography by an Oklahoma Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force member from the Guthrie Police Department.
Kastl was informed of the investigation by an employee of the Internet provider and was able to destroy his computer. The computer was recovered and a search warrant was issued to search it.
OSBI computer experts found dozens of images of child molestation. The investigation is on-going to determine if there are any local victims. Kastl was booked in to the Custer County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
