A 19-year-old woman charged with stealing five horses from Southern Arkansas University now also faces an Oklahoma arson charge for allegedly helping burn her mother's house.
The Texarkana Gazette reported Friday that Jaci Rae Jackson of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, is charged with second-degree arson in McCurtain County.
Jackson's mother, 37-year-old Wendie Nicole Cox of Haworth, Oklahoma, also faces the same charge. Police have been unable to find her and a warrant is out for her arrest.
As police in Arkansas and Oklahoma investigated the theft of the horses, which resulted in one of the animals being killed, they learned of an alleged arson of Cox's home that occurred in 2010.
