Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office has identified a man who was arrested after leading deputies on a high-speed chase in Oklahoma City.
Elijah Wornick,27, was arrested at N.W. 39th Street and St. Clair Avenue in Oklahoma City Friday night.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Wornick refused to pull over during a traffic stop on Interstate 40 near Meridian Avenue, and led Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers and deputies on a chase through west Oklahoma City.
Wornick tried to take off on foot after deputies disabled his car, but he was caught by a K-9 deputy. Authorities said once Wornick was arrested, it was determined that he was driving without a license.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Wornick had four active warrants prior to his arrest for aiding prostitution, possession of drugs and concealing stolen property.
