A former Oklahoma high school teacher was taken into custody Sunday on complaints of sexual misconduct with a student. Rhonda Michelle Ford, 29, is in the Pushmataha County Jail.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is conducting the investigation against Ford who was reportedly having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student in Clayton.

An affidavit filed Wednesday in Pushmataha County court accuses Ford of lewd or indecent acts with a child under the age of 16, second-degree rape, sodomy and permitting children under 21 to possess or consume alcohol.

A Clayton student, 15, told investigators he had sex with Ford on at least 10 occasions in her home after their relationship started in February.

The affidavit also says Ford served alcohol to three students who helped her move into a new house.

She resigned from Clayton Public Schools.

Ford taught for one semester at Cleveland High School, before the incidents in Clayton.

Ford taught at Cleveland High School for the fall semester of 2009-10. Cleveland High School principal Alan Baker is listed on the affidavit as a witness for the State of Oklahoma in the case.

Efforts to reach him Monday for comment have so far been unsuccessful.
