A major power outage was reported in the downtown Oklahoma City area Friday morning.
OG&E officials say it happened just after 9 a.m. Friday after a switch burned out at the substation.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department and the fire department, several buildings and businesses in the downtown area, including the Devon Tower, did not have electricity.
Emergency crews also responded to several calls of people being stuck in elevators.
Parts of Bricktown were also without power Friday morning. OG&E estimates about 1700 customers did not have power.
Crews worked quickly and the problem was fixed within an hour.
