A Shawnee family is canvassing the community looking for clues in the disappearance of their loved one, 27-year-old Samantha Weaver. The woman has been missing for more than a month.
Weaver's siblings have become increasingly worried as time has gone by. They were especially devastated on July 25, when Weaver's daughter celebrated her second birthday without her.
Details of the disappearance have frustrated the family, and an eerie text message sent to her daughter's father haunts them.
"She sent a message saying ‘I just woke up, something doesn't feel right.' You automatically think the worst," Weaver's sister Christy Busch said.
"From the time she sent that text message, no one has seen her in the town of Shawnee," Phil Busch, Weaver's brother, said.
Weaver was last seen near Kickapoo and Wallace in Shawnee. She doesn't have a car, but would often walk to see her kids and regularly frequented the Sinclair convenience store.
Weaver has a tattoo of a care bear on her shoulder and tribal art on her lower back.
