An Oklahoma City man is remembering how close he came to becoming another victim in the terrorist attack on the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.
Forty-six-year-old Chuck Boso retired from the Will Rogers Air National Guard five years ago. But 11 years ago, Boso was working in a naval office in the Pentagon, when terrorist steered a jet into the Pentagon, killing 184 people.
Boso says the explosion obliterated the office he had been working out of. However, he escaped injury, because he was in the middle of hauling several computers to a warehouse located in the middle of the Pentagon structure.
However, Boso says he still felt the impact.
"If I had been in that office another 15 minutes, I wouldn't have made it," he said.
Boso says none of his co-workers were injured or died that terrible day. But many share stories of close calls just like him.
Chuck Boso is originally from West Virginia, but was stationed at Tinker Air Force Base in the late 80's and early 90's. He met his wife here. They have four children and two grandsons.
