Oklahoma City Thunder player Thabo Sefolosha donated $10,000 to the Oklahoma City police department's "CHAPP'S" Program on Tuesday.
CHAPPS stands for Cops Helping Alleviate Police Problems. The program helps police officers and their families recover from tragic circumstances that occur while on the job.

Sefolosha recently reached out to the police department all on his own.
"They put their life on the line everyday going to work. And just being able to show them our appreciation, and doing something that will go a long way for those families," Sefolosha said.
Sefolosha said he wants to be a good example to young people who may not realize police are actually the "good guys."
