Oklahoma City Police have released the names of two people, including an off-duty Oklahoma City police officer, killed early Wednesday morning in a one-car crash.
Sgt. Steven Elsass, 39, and Amber Brown, 30, died in the accident. According to the Logan County Sheriff's Office, Brown was driving north on Western around 2:30 a.m. when she lost control of the car. The vehicle crashed about one mile north of Waterloo road.
Both Brown and Elsass died at the scene. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol was called in to investigate. OHP said excessive speed may have been a factor in the crash.
