Snowfall and high winds Christmas day caused organizers in Chickasha to suspend the popular "Festival of Light."
The six-week long event at Shannon Springs Park has been a 20 year tradition in Chickasha, and it will draw as many as 300,000 visitors this year.
It features three and a half million lights, carriage and camel rides, and other entertainment.
"We hate to shut it down because people enjoy it, but we don't want anybody to try to come here and get hurt in the process," Board President Marcy Langle said.
Langle says they hope to re-open Wednesday night.
The Festival of Lights lasts through December 31.
