Tulsa Women In Recovery Program Boasts 15 More Graduates

Tuesday was graduation day for a group of women facing prison time.

Women In Recovery held their eighth graduation ceremony Tuesday for 15 women in their program.

The program combines strict supervision with comprehensive treatment for drug and alcohol abuse.

The George Kaiser Family Foundation and Family and Children's Services sponsor the program.

It's being hailed as a success by judges, lawmakers, and participants.

"I've had one-on-one therapy, I've had group therapy, I've had inspirational people surrounding me, helping me, supporting me, with employment. I've got my career back," said graduate Annie Jo Chambers.

Since it started in July 2010, 95 ladies have graduated from Women In Recovery.
