News 9 Weather Team Updates On Snow Threat In Oklahoma On Tuesday

Now is the time to take Action and prepare for heavy snow across portions of western and central Oklahoma.

Snow amounts within the Action area will range from 4" to 7" with localized amounts of 9" possible.

Areas within the Ready area including OKC snow amounts of 3" to 5" will be possible with lesser amounts of a trace to 3" within the Aware area.

Keep in mind temperatures will be marginally supportive of snow, and initial ground temperatures will be above freezing.

These factors could result in a longer period of rain, as well as the initial melting of snow on the ground, consequently cutting down on overall snow totals.
