Delaware County authorities canceled an Amber Alert Friday for an 8-month-old girl believed taken by her parents in Grove.
Someone left baby Carolinn Altaffer at the Grove Hospital Friday morning, where she is getting medical care. It's not known who dropped off the baby.
There is no word on the location of her parents, according to the Delaware County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office believes Carolinn Altaffer was taken by her parents, Ronald and China Altaffer.
A sheriff's office dispatcher says deputies picked up a signal from the couple's cell phone somewhere between Claremore and Adair just after 6 a.m. Friday.
In a news release, the sheriff's office stated deputies had an emergency order to pick up Carolinn and put her into emergency custody, but before deputies arrived at the home on Thursday, the couple had left.
According to the release, the child suffers from extreme malnutrition.
The sheriff's office believes the couple is in a tan 2003 Chevy pickup with Oklahoma tag 474HLD and they may have been headed to Kansas.
