The White team scored three fourth-quarter touchdowns to defeat the Red team 28-24 at the Oklahoma Sooners' spring game on Saturday afternoon.
Blake Bell, Trevor Knight and Kendal Thompson rotated every possession at quarterback for the Sooners, with Bell getting the first series with the first-team offense.
The original scoring system — awarding points to both the defense and the offense — was scrapped early in the first half and instead gave points to whichever color a quarterback was playing for at the time.
Bell was 14-for-23 for 213 yards and two touchdowns while Thompson was 11-for-17 for 151 yards and a score. Knight finished the day 8-of-15 for 86 yards and a touchdown.
David Smith was the star at the running back position for the game, carrying the ball 16 times for 65 yards and a score. Thompson and Knight each rushed for 35 yards while Bell didn't gain any yards on the ground.
Trey Metoyer was the leading receiver, catching six passes for 122 yards. Roy Finch, Don Caudill, Durron Neal and Smith each caught a touchdown pass.

On the first drive of the game, Damien Williams fumbled, but the ball squirted out of the pile, and Lacoltan Bester picked up the loose ball to rumble 35 yards for the touchdown.
On the first possession for Knight, Brennan Clay ran off-tackle for 31 yards. However, the drive eventually stalled when Knight overthrew Neal in the end zone on third down. Michael Hunnicutt knocked in a 41-yard field goal to put the Red squad up 10-0.
The defense stepped up and made a couple stops against the offense, forcing a couple of punts and a turnover on downs. The OU receivers didn't help the quarterbacks, dropping a couple passes, including a drop by Taylor McNamara on a beautiful pass from Bell.
The offense broke through once again when Bell hit Neal down the sideline for a 45-yard gain. Neal had to fight Zach Sanchez for the reception, but came down with the ball. Three plays later, Bell and Neal connected once again for a three-yard touchdown pass.
In the second half, Knight started at quarterback and engineered a touchdown drive, hitting Metoyer with passes of 16 and 38 yards to set up a two-yard touchdown run from Smith.
Thompson put on a show in his first series of the half, showcasing his speed and elusiveness outside of the pocket. A long drive for the offense ended with a Terence Olds' fumble at the two-yard line. Knight came back in and promptly fumbled the snap, which Frank Shannon scooped up and carried into the end zone for a touchdown.
On Bell's next possession, he connected with tight end Sam Grant for a couple of passes before hitting Finch for a screen pass that Finch took 49 yards for the touchdown.
Knight engineered another touchdown driving, hooking up with Metoyer for a 40-yard gain before hitting Don Caudill for the touchdown.
Thompson's last possession of the day also ended with a touchdown, as he hit Smith on a wheel route with a beautiful fade to the corner of the end zone.
