Oklahoma City Police Officer Chad Peery is in critical condition at OU Medical Center following a rollover accident in Seminole County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) is investigating the crash that happened on Interstate 40, near Prague.
Troopers got the call around 5:30 p.m. Sunday. First responders on the scene tell News 9, four of six passengers were ejected from the vehicle following a blow out to one of the tires. Three passengers were flown to the hospital.
OU Medical Center Spokesperson Scott Coppenbarger confirmed Peery was flown to OU Medical Center and is listed in critical condition.
In 2011, Peery suffered a broken neck after he tried to escort some men out of Dan O'Brien's Public House in northwest Oklahoma City. Peery was off duty when the men beat him outside of the bar.
Peery was partially paralyzed in the attack. After more than a year of therapy, Peery received a standing ovation at an OKC Thunder game in Feb 2013, when he took several steps in front of the crowd.
