Kevin Durant's Restaurant To Open In Bricktown In October

While Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder could be eliminated from the NBA Playoffs Wednesday, Durant is determined to make his mark in the local restaurant business.

K.D. plans to open "Kevin Durant's Southern Cuisine" next to Toby Keith's in Lower Bricktown in late October.

Joe Jungmann of the Norman-based Hal Smith Restaurant Group will be managing partner. But he says Durant will have a large say in the kinds of food that will be served.

"I've recently sent him the menu. He's been going through the menu and hopefully I will hear back from him this week," Jungmann said.

Jungmann says the structure will be dominated by glass and brick, and will feature a private Kevin Durant dining room.
