There is a risk for strong to severe thunderstorms Wednesday for western and central parts of Oklahoma.
Severe weather is more likely for western and central Oklahoma. The risk for tornadoes will be highest in western Oklahoma Wednesday afternoon and evening with a threat for central Oklahoma later Wednesday evening and night.
Expect 2 rounds of severe weather. One during the afternoon and a second, more isolated but equally intense, this evening to midnight. Be prepared for all modes of severe weather including tornadoes.
Timing: after 2:00 PM from Woodward to Altus, moving towards the OKC metro and north central OK closer to 6:00 PM. Other widely scattered showers storms are possible this afternoon as well.
The current weather pattern suggests strong to severe storms will be possible again on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with the Oklahoma City metro included in all of those days.
