Woman Dies After Brick Attack In SW OKC, Boyfriend Arrested

A woman died Friday morning after police say her boyfriend attacked her in the middle of a southwest Oklahoma City neighborhood.

Police say they were called around 8:30 p.m. Thursday to what they described as a "heated disturbance" in the 800 block of S.W. 56th Street.

Witnesses say 21-year-old Tiffany Sams' boyfriend, 31-year-old Corey Brown, attacked her with a brick. Police say he chased her down, beat her, and then ran from the scene.

Sams received severe trauma and was rushed to a local hospital. She was in critical condition for several hours before she died Friday morning.

Officers found Brown soon after the attack and arrested him. He's currently in the Oklahoma County jail.
