A westbound semi rear-ended another semi Saturday morning in Rogers County, sending the driver of the first truck to a Tulsa hospital, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The crash happened on Highway 412 west of the Verdigris River bridge east of Catoosa.
In their report, troopers say an apparent medical condition may have led to the crash. OHP says a semi loaded with grain, driven by Gerald McConnell, 58, of Skiatook, had just pulled on to the highway from the Port of Catoosa when he was rear-ended.
The collision spilled grain onto the shoulder and highway.
OHP said Jiri Bartak, 58, of Oklahoma City, was driving the first semi and was taken to the hospital and is said to be stable. He was pinned in the wreckage for 35 minutes.
The crash closed a westbound lane of the highway for several hours while crews cleaned up the grain.
The Oak Grove Fire Department responded to the 9:01 a.m. crash.
McConnell refused treatment for minor injuries.
