Man Shot To Death On SW OKC Street

Neighbors say they were awakened by gunfire Friday night just minutes before finding a wounded man slumped in an SUV in southwest Oklahoma City.

Around 10:30 p.m., residents in the 2700 block of S.W. 30th Street heard several gunshots. Witnesses saw a gunman running after the SUV. The SUV reversed down the road to get away, but stopped just moments later.

The gunman hopped into another car and drove away.

Witnesses ran to the SUV and found the driver had been shot. He was rushed to the hospital, but died from his gunshot wound. His name has not been released.

Witnesses say the shooting may have been over a drug deal. Neighbors told police that narcotics were thrown into their yards during and after the shooting.

Police have not made any arrests or released any suspect information.
