The case against a former state lawmaker accused of felony bribery is now in the hands of the jury.
Former Rep. Randy Terrill of Moore took the stand Tuesday, and told the court he did not do anything to discourage former Democratic state Sen. Debbe Leftwich from running for re-election.

Terrill, a Republican, is accused of offering to set up Leftwich with an $80,000-a-year job at the Medical Examiner's Office in exchange for not running for re-election in 2010. Prosecutors allege Terrill orchestrated the political bribery scheme to free up a senate seat for Rep. Mike Christian.
Oklahoma County District Judge Cindy Truong ruled prosecutors had the right to cross-examine Terrill.
Judge Cindy Troung told the jurors to expect to stay Tuesday until they reach a verdict in this case.
