A $30 million expansion at the Wyandotte Nation Casino is expected to add up to 50 jobs in northeastern Oklahoma.
The Ottawa County tribe announced plans Monday for the three-phase expansion.
Officials said the expanded facility will include a bowling alley and an entertainment venue that will seat up to 500 people. It will also double in size to 50,000 square feet.
Wyandotte Nation Chief Billy Friend told the Miami News Record the casino hasn't had many updates since it opened in 2007. He says northeastern Oklahoma is a highly competitive market for casinos.
The Wyandotte tribe has more than 1,100 members in Oklahoma.
