A welfare check on an elderly woman in a northwest Oklahoma City home has led to a homicide investigation.
Police were asked on November 16 to check on 74-year-old Gynette Tucker, a woman living in the 4000 block of N.W. 14th Street. When officers arrived around 9 a.m., they found Tucker dead inside her house. There was no indication of how she died.
Tucker's body was taken to the State Medical Examiner's Office, where it was determined she had suffered fatal trauma. Police are now investigating Tucker's death as a homicide, although they are not saying how she died.
No arrests have been made in the case. Anyone with information should call the Homicide Tip Line at (405) 297-1200.
