Oklahoma Turnpike Authority Prepared To Use New Supersized Plows

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority has new supersized plows it's ready to use if needed this week.

They're called tow plows.

Each tow plow has steerable wheels that allow it to be pulled like a normal trailer by a truck. When it's time to plow, the wheels are turned to one side and the angled trailer then makes it possible for one truck to cover a much wider swath.

When the plowing is done, the operator straightens the wheels and the plow converts back to a regular trailer.
