Prosecutors say an Oklahoma City man was shot to death in November after he came home and found his wife's boyfriend in a bedroom.
Donald Nelson, 38, was shot November 25 at a house in the 3800 block of S.W. 22nd Street. The victim's wife told police she and her husband had a fight on November 23, and Nelson assaulted her. After the assault, Nelson left the home and the wife's boyfriend, 41-year-old John Michael Torren, came to the house the next day and spent the night.
Around 7 a.m. Monday, November 25, Nelson returned to the home and banged on the front door. His wife says she let him in and he went into a back bedroom, where he confronted Torren.
Police say the two men had a physical confrontation and Torren shot Nelson during the fight. Witnesses in the house called 911 but Torren left the home before police arrived.
Nelson died at the scene.
