A huge storm system is covering parts of Oklahoma with freezing rain, which is coating trees, power lines and cars in a layer of thick ice.
Parts of Oklahoma, including Oklahoma County, Logan County, and Cleveland County, remain under an ice storm warning until 6 a.m. Sunday.
News 9 Storm Tracker Hank Brown reported seeing nearly one inch of ice in the Norman area.
Many News 9 viewers are sharing with us their ice storm photos. Whitni Hays told News 9 she woke up Saturday morning and saw a tree on top of her SUV in The Village.
According to News 9 Chief Meteorologist David Payne, snow will soon begin to push across central, western, northern Oklahoma Saturday afternoon. The northwestern part of the state is expected to get the most amount of snow.
Road conditions in affected areas are still considered slick and hazardous. Drivers are urged to take precaution, especially on bridges.
