Authorities Investigate After Man Found Dead At McLoud Home

Authorities are investigating after a man was found dead Saturday night at a home In McLoud.

According to the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office, the man was found dead at a home on Candlestick Dr. in McLoud.

Witnesses say that a financial disagreement between a stepson and his stepfather led to the fight, and it ended with the stepson reportedly killing his stepdad.

Officers are still investigating the scene.

"We don't know exactly what has transpired, although it does appear that there was some kind of a fight. We don't know that any weapons were involved at all at this point," Pott. County Sheriff Mike Booth said.

Witnesses say the two men were arguing over financial issues concerning the stepson's mother.

Deputies have detained the stepson. No charges have been filed at this time.

The Medical Examiner will determine cause of death.

Authorities have not identified the victim.
