Yukon Police Release Names Of Officer, Victim In Fatal Accident

The Yukon Police Department has released the names of the police officer and victim involved in a fatal accident over the weekend.

Police say Cpl. Mike Stilley was on duty when he stuck and killed a pedestrian while driving his patrol car. The accident occurred Saturday, January 11, at approximately 4:50 a.m. on Ranchwood Boulevard, just south of the Yukon Police Department headquarters.

According to investigators, the victim, Adam Christopher Johnson, 33, of Yukon appeared to have been lying in the roadway prior to the accident.

No other information was released. The investigation is ongoing. The exact manner and cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner's office.
