Yukon police say their preliminary reports show 33-year-old Adam Johnson may have been lying in the street when he was hit and killed by a patrol car.

The family of the victim says he was most likely sleep walking when he was hit around 5 a.m. Saturday in 400 block of South Ranchwood.

Faith says her husband was known to sleep walk since he was a child, and was taking prescription medication (Ambien) to help him sleep.

An emotional Faith does not blame the Yukon Police Officer involved, saying "accidents happen."

The driver of the patrol car, Captain Mike Stilly, is on paid administrative leave during an investigation.
