Grass Fires Erupt In Central Oklahoma

Crews are responding to grass fires in southeast Oklahoma City and in Logan County, Wednesday afternoon.<br />

Crews are responding to grass fires in southeast Oklahoma City and in Logan County, Wednesday afternoon.

The largest of the fires is going on in Logan County. Crews from the Woodcrest, Guthrie and Oak Cliff fire departments are on the scene, near S. Douglas Blvd. and E. Simmons Rd.

Edmond Fire is also sending a brush pumper truck and a tanker to the scene in Logan County.

OKC firefighters were called to the scene near 4707 SE 119th St., in between S. Sunnylane Rd. and S. Sooner Rd., where a reported three acres of land has burned. Del City Fire Crews are also helping battle the blaze.

Both fires were contained by 4:30 p.m. No one was injured and no structures were damaged.

The cause of the fires has not been determined.
