It took the all 48 minutes, but eventually the Thunder put away the Detroit Pistons Wednesday night at Chesapeake Arena.
That win clinched the No. 2 seed for Oklahoma City, but it was the Memphis vs. Dallas game that determined the Thunder's opponent.
The Grizzlies outlasted Dallas 106-105 in overtime, and their prize is the No. 7 seed and a trip to Oklahoma City in the opening round.

The Grizzlies eliminated OKC 4-1 in the Western Conference Semifinals last season. Thunder star Russell Westbrook missed that series with a torn meniscus.
"It's going to be a tough and fun series," Kevin Durant said. "We have a lot of history with these guys. We're looking forward to getting the opportunity to play for a championship."
OKC will have Westbrook and everyone else ready to go Saturday when Memphis comes to town for Game 1.
"It'll be fun, man," Westbrook said of the Memphis rematch. "It'll be a physical matchup. Memphis is a great team, we just gotta go in there and play our game."
Thunder coach Scott Brooks knows that OKC will have it's hands full with the physical Grizzlies.
"2 vs. 7 (seed) -- that means zero," Brooks said. "It's us against them, they're a very good basketball team, they beat us last season and we understand how they play and they understand how we play."
Tip time is set for 8:30 p.m. from Chesapeake Arena.
