A train collided with a car at low speeds on some north Tulsa railroad tracks at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday. A Burlington Northern Santa Fe employee said the train crew approaching the crossing on North Sheridan at East Tecumseh Street spotted a car apparently stuck on the tracks.
The people inside 1990s model Cadillac were able to get out in time and were uninjured. The train was only going about 20 mph.
The trainer driver hit the emergency breaks but the train was unable to stop completely. It hit the vehicle, spinning it around the side of the tracks.
BNSF is investigating the non-injury collision.
