Homicide detectives are investigating after a body was discovered across from the East Oak Landfill near N.E. 36th and Sooner in Oklahoma City.
According to officials, two people were heading to the river and were confronted by a pit bull. They then saw what they thought was a body and called police.
Right now, police are not sure if this is a homicide or if the person died from natural causes, but officials say the body appears to have been there for a few days.
The pit bull was taken to an animal shelter, and a medical examiner is on the scene.
Officials say the body has not been identified, but police believe it may be a transient.
