Driver Escapes Major Accident In SW OKC With Broken Ankle

The driver involved in that terrifying crash between a car and a semi in southwest Oklahoma City on Wednesday made it out with very minor injuries, all things considered.

Sources say Joe Schrader was driving east on SW 44th St, near Airport Rd., when he collided with a semi truck going the other direction. Sources now say he only suffered a broken ankle. The crash was originally reported as a fatality.

A witness said he saw two cars driving down the road at a high rate of speed, but police are still investigating the accident.
