Alan Hruby is accused of killing his parents and sister in their home on Oct. 9.
Police said the 19-year-old confessed to the crime giving investigators a play-by-play account of what happened before and after the murders.

He lived in Headington Hall at the University of Oklahoma and based on his social media post, he considered it home.
For investigators, Hruby's college dorm room was also home to a long list of potential evidence prosecutors will use to try and convict him.
Investigators seized a number of items including a disassembled Apple iPhone, a white sheet of paper with a red stain on it, and a Ritz-Carlton bathrobe.
Prosecutors alleged Hruby booked a room at that five-star hotel for the University of Oklahoma and University of Texas football weekend after he killed his parents, John, 50, and Tinker, 48, and teenage sister, Katherine.
The robe found in the dorm room supported that theory.
According to search warrants, Hruby had a history of domestic violence with his mother, often fought with his parents about money and did not get along with his sister because of the family feud.
"The crime is obviously, well, anytime you kill your family that's an unbelievable situation," Police Chief Danny Ford said after finding the family shot to death on the kitchen floor of the home on the 1200 block of Bent Tree Street.

Search warrants for the home revealed the intimate details of the crime scene from Oct. 9.
Investigators found five spent shell casings fired from the 9 mm handgun Hruby allegedly stole from his father before the murder.
Fingerprints were also lifted off of the gun safe closet door.
A total of six fake identification cards for Alan Hruby were also recovered -- four inside the safe.
"We function on the facts." Chief Ford said the evidence overwhelming pointed toward Alan Hruby.
And then investigators uncovered more. More than 2 GB of data from Hruby's cell phone was retrieved by a court ordered search warrant, as well as evidence from a Pike Pass account.
His jeep was impounded and photographic evidence was also collected.
Prosecutors alleged he made several trips to Duncan to plot the murders.
After, he is accused of dumping the murder weapon and the home's security footage in a Stephen's County lake.
Hruby is being held without bond in the Stephens County jail pending a preliminary hearing.
