A suspect was shot and killed after leading police on a high-speed chase in southwest Oklahoma City, Thursday afternoon.
The chase reportedly started in the area of S.W. 31st Street and Western. According to police, the suspect was wanted for an armed robbery and possible stabbing.
The pursuit lasted about 15 minutes and ended in the area of S.W. 37th and Robinson, where the suspect got out of the vehicle and ran to a creek bed. That's when shots were exchanged between police and the suspect.
Preliminary reports indicate that the suspect was shot and killed. EMSA paramedics responded to the scene. No officers were injured.
Crews have shut down Robinson between S.W. 39th and S.W. 36th.
