The Jenks Trojan Pride Marching Band is using music to help Tulsans get heart healthy.
The band announced Tuesday it will lead off this year's American Heart Association "Tulsa Heart Walk."
"We've had students in our school district affected by heart disease, families of band students affected by heart disease and we want to help and participate and work toward the cure," said Annaline Drake with the Jenks Parent Band Association.
The band's also been chosen to walk in next year's Tournament of Roses Parade.
Leaders said this is a great way to get in shape for that five-and-a-half mile course.
The Tulsa Heart Walk is Saturday, April 18th at ONEOK Field.
