Choctaw HS Teacher Accused Of Having Sexual Relationship With Student

A Choctaw High School teacher was arrested on allegations that she had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student.

According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office, school administrators first notified Choctaw police about inappropriate acts between Choctaw High School teacher, 43-year-old Kristen Betz, and a 17-year-old student.

Choctaw police then requested the Sheriff's office to investigate after they determined some of the incidents from the case occurred within county jurisdiction.

The investigation has shown that Betz had a sexual relationship with the student, and also exchanged inappropriate texts, according to the Sheriff's office. 

Betz was arrested on Wednesday. She was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on a complaint of second-degree rape. 

Authorities said Betz has posted her $10,000 bail.
