The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has identified the man shot and killed by a Tahlequah police officer Saturday. They will hold a news conference at 11 a.m. Tuesday in which they plan to show a portion of video recorded by an officer's body camera.

Police Chief Nate King said they will release the full footage after the news conference.

Investigators said Joshua P. Crittenden, 35, died after exchanging gunfire with an officer.

Police were called to the 500 block of South Mission Street after two men were reportedly arguing near a stolen Dodge pickup. Both men ran away, and Crittenden reportedly hid in a nearby house.

Authorities said when he came out, he started shooting at one of the officers. The officer fired back at Crittenden, who was taken to the hospital and died a short time later.

Agents say a gun was found near Crittenden's body. His fingerprints were used to establish his identity, according to the OSBI.

"OSBI agents will be conducting further interviews in this on-going investigation," a news release states. "A report will be submitted to the District Attorney's Office at the conclusion of the investigation."

The officer involved in the shooting was not injured. His name has not been released. Police said he was placed on routine leave during the investigation.
