LeFlore County fire officials say no one was injured after a Pocola home caught fire early Monday.
Pocola Fire Chief Wesley Riggs told KFSM, the CBS affiliate in Fort Smith, the fire started around 2:15 a.m. at a home on South Gray Street.
Riggs says when firefighters arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames and the roof had caved in. He says a mother and child who lived there were not at home. Pocola got assistance fighting the blaze from two nearby fire departments.
Riggs says the home was a total loss. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
This was the second house fire in LeFlore County since Friday. A mobile home was destroyed by fire near Shady Point.
