Game wardens are hoping the public can help them locate poachers they say are responsible for the death of a bull elk in Adair County.

According to a news release, a bull elk was illegally taken from the east side of the Cookson Wildlife Management area near Bunch, Oklahoma on November 7.

We’re told the poachers cut off the back-straps, partial hind-quarters and the antlers.
