Authorities are on the lookout for a Norman man, accused of multiple child sex crimes after allegedly hooking up with a young girl on a popular messaging app.
An arrest warrant was issued for 32-year-old Michael Christopher Beam on Monday.
According to court documents, Beam met the 13-year-old victim through the messaging app Kik in January 2016. The two exchanged Snapchat usernames and the conversation continued there primarily, when the dialogue turned sexual.
Eventually Beam convinced the victim to meet up, and picked her up from her house after her mother left for work. Over a period of a few weeks, Beam would pick the victim up from her home, drive to a car wash near NW 15th St. and N. May Ave., where the two would engage in sex. The suspect would then drive the victim to school, according to the report.
During one encounter at the car wash, investigators say the suspect took a photo of the sexual activity and sent it to the victim through Snapchat. Police were able to recover that photo through the app.
Beam had also planned to take the victim to a hotel room and record her engaging in sexual activities with other men.
If you have any information regarding Beam’s whereabouts, please contact Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300.
