Tulsa's Jill Donovan challenged her Rustic Cuff fans to use the shopping bags the bracelets come in to create clothing, kind of like a challenge on Project Runway.
She called the event Friday evening in Tulsa, Project "Cuff-Way" and 1,500 people submitted entries. 125 of them got to take to the stage for a fashion show.
One of the judges included News on 6 anchor Lori Fullbright.
Some of the designs were impressive. There was everything from evening wear and wedding gowns to swim suits and children's clothes. Donovan gave away $50,000 in prizes, but the main focus of the event was to raise money for the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
Donovan’s father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer the same week she was married, and just three months before his death. “He was the most unselfish person I have ever known,” she stated.
Jill Donovan says Rustic Cuff raised $125,000 for the foundation.
