Severe storms moved across the Oklahoma City metro Tuesday night, ripping the roof off of an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper's home near N.E. 220th and Panther Run Rd. in Luther.
Police and neighbors were on scene to help trooper Tony Rumpl as he deals with the damage to his home.
Damage reports are still rolling in as a result of the severe storms that moved across Oklahoma on Tuesday. More than 22,000 outages were reported in the OG&E service area alone.
OG&E officials said as of 8:30 a.m., more than 50 percent of outages from Tuesday night's storm have been restored. But 8,226 customers are still without power.

At one point on Tuesday a tornado watch was issued for 40 Oklahoma counties.
