OKC Police Investigate Homicide After Domestic Assault Victim Dies

Oklahoma City police are now investigating a homicide after a domestic abuse victim died from her injuries.

According to police, on September 3, officers responded to the report of a domestic assault at an apartment complex at 1000 N.W. 89th Street. When officers arrived, they found 54-year-old Carla Martin seriously injured. She was taken to the OU Medical Center.

Tony Wilson, 40, was arrested at the scene on multiple charges, including domestic violence.

Martin later died from her injuries suffered in the assault on Friday, September 23. The complaint against Wilson will be amended to first-degree murder, according to police.

Martin’s death was Oklahoma City’s 58th homicide.
