Tulsa police now believe a man who disappeared after witnessing a shooting, is dead.

Homicide detectives are afraid someone killed Courtney Palmer, then disposed of his body by feeding him to hogs in Muskogee County.

Palmer's family said they're in shock. They said he leaves behind two children and that he was trying to find his way but sometimes went down the wrong road and mixed with the wrong people.

Police said Palmer witnessed a shooting at the Tamarack apartments in Tulsa on November 8, 2016. They said he was high on PCP so they decided to interview him later, but, when they went to find him two days later, he was missing.

They said Palmer normally called his mother every day but she's not heard from him and no one's seen him. Police said they later learned Palmer had been lured to a house in Tulsa where he was beaten to death.

"These people are whacked out on PCP and figured it was a good way to teach Courtney a lesson but wow, it went too far," said TPD Homicide Sgt. Dave Walker.

Walker believes someone transported Palmer's body in a truck to Muskogee County and either fed him to hogs or burned his body.

Detectives recovered the truck and arrested Gerald Lowe, Michaela Riddle and Jeannetta Thomas. The DA charged them with assault with intent to kill and kidnapping in Palmer's disappearance.

Police said this is not the first time someone from Tulsa has mysteriously disappeared in Muskogee and it's time for it to stop.

"It's an opportunity for those people in Muskogee that have information about this group of people who are doing this to come forward. We realize they don't want to end up hog feed, we get that," Walker said.

Police said there have been cases where the DA charged someone with murder, even though the victim's body was never found. Palmer's family said despite his issues, they loved him and hope someone will come forward with answers.
