Suspected SW OKC Robber Arrested

Police arrested a man Wednesday who they say robbed a southwest Oklahoma City convenience stores twice in the same week. 

Officers say they picked up 23-year-old Leonard Chavez at his house in southwest Oklahoma City. Chavez was wanted in connection with a robbery at the Grand Mart near 1300 S. Grand Blvd. Police say the robberies occurred Friday afternoon and then again Sunday night. Reports show the robber pointed a gun wrapped in paper right at the clerk's face.

Surveillance video provided photos of the suspect. Police say a Crime Stoppers tip helped them nab this fugitive in less than 24 hours.
