A Logan County Sheriff's Deputy us facing a burglary charge after police say he stole almost $5,500 from an acquaintance.
An affidavit says on October 16, Doyle Baker, 29, got off his shift as deputy, drove his police cruiser to Kyle Medcalf's home in Edmond, and stole the money out of the center console of Medcalf's truck, all while still wearing his Logan County uniform.
Medcalf told police Baker would help him with various work from time to time. For that reason, Baker knew Medcalf had money in his center console and also the entry code for Medcalf's truck.
When Medcalf told police this, they checked the GPS coordinates on Doyle's cruiser. Lo and behold, those coordinates place Doyle's cruiser at the location and time of the burglary.
Baker was charged with felony second-degree burglary.
