Tulsa Man Gets Life For Murder Of Two-Year-Old Girl

A judge sentenced a Tulsa man to life for the murder of his girlfriend's two-month-old daughter.

Joseph Bunnell, 22, entered a blind plea in March in the death of Chloe Hamilton.

Prosecutors say Bunnell beat Chloe then left her to suffer and slowly die for four hours. Joseph Bunnell said he was high and drunk when it happened, but said he accepts responsibility for the death.

Prosecutors said a lot of people struggle with an addiction but that's no excuse for murdering a helpless baby.

"If that caused people to beat up and kill babies, we'd literally have dead babies all over our county," said Tulsa County Assistant DA Sarah McAmis.
